Job Summary
The Project Management Specialist is responsible for managing technical projects or processes independently with limited supervision. The role includes coaching junior professionals, solving complex problems, and ensuring project success through technical and analytical leadership.
This job profile is intended for specialist professionals that apply advanced knowledge of a job area. Required to manage projects / processes independently with limited supervision. Typically coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.
The Incumbent would be Responsible for Order Processing to Execution, Sales Co-ordination.
Ensuring efficient and accurate handling of Customer orders/queries/Schedules based on the contract entered in the system.
Enter all customer order lines in line with the customers requested delivery date, Pending Order Status.
To monitor the progress and complete execution of an order.
To be proactive in communication with Supply Chain in the event of shortages and use Supply Chain resource effectively to support customer business efficiency.
Reporting of deviation of delivery to customer.
To co-ordinate customer visits and visits of other sales personnel from branches.
Execution of project from customers and organization’s point of view within the stipulated time and cost. Ensure timely supplies, Coordinate with QA, Site engineers, Contractors, Order Execution. Get drawing approvals, prepare progress reports.
This person cares for requests regarding warranties and can delegate the Warranty Management tasks to other persons in the LE.
Warranty Management can be carried out by a separate manager / team or by a Project Manager himself (in smaller LE’s). The task of the Warranty Manager is to co-ordinate the relevant activities and to co-operate closely with internal and external functions.
A Warranty Manager shall have technical knowledge to evaluate a warranty claim and to guide resolution and shall have knowledge in claim management and commercial handling.
He / she ensures proper attention and provides a prompt response to the customer. The Warranty Manager also stays in contact with Sales / Tendering, PRN and RES because ongoing warranty cases might affect ongoing business or may generate new business. He / she identifies RCA opportunities and can initiate corrective and preventive action
During the handling of a warranty case all warranty cost invoices have to be approved by the Warranty Manager. The monthly evaluation of the warranty provision is within the responsibility of the Warranty Manager.
This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Large, Division / Extra Large organization. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and resource estimates. Conduct risk analysis and monitor project progress. Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams. Ensure adherence to quality standards and review deliverables. Liaise with users to gather and document requirements. Manage vendor integration and review deliverables when applicable. Skills & Qualifications Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and at least 5–7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role. Required Skills: Strong project management and technical skills. Proficiency in project planning tools and methodologies. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement. Analytical thinking and problem-solving. Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
