Assistant IT Manager Full Time

Position Summary

The Assistant IT Manager will head the Information Technology department and be responsible for the smooth functioning of all IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and user support operations within the hotel. The role involves managing hotel operational systems, ensuring data security, minimizing downtime, and supporting all departments with efficient technology solutions to ensure seamless guest and operational experience.

Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Infrastructure Management

• Lead and manage the overall IT operations of the hotel.
• Ensure uninterrupted functioning of servers, networks, internet connectivity, telecommunication systems, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and IT infrastructure.
• Maintain all computer hardware, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
• Manage data backup, recovery processes, and disaster recovery plans.

Hotel Systems & Application Management

• Manage and support hotel operational software and systems including:
• Opera PMS
• POS Systems
• ALIF
• IDS / Material Control
• HRMS & Payroll Systems
• Attendance Systems
• Reservation Systems
• Email & Communication Platforms
• IPTV, Key Card, and Guest Internet Systems
• Coordinate with vendors for software updates, troubleshooting, and AMC support.
• Ensure proper integration and functioning between hotel systems and applications.

Team Leadership & Department Management

• Head the IT department and supervise IT associates/vendors.
• Allocate daily operational tasks and monitor team performance.
• Ensure timely closure of IT support tickets and service requests.
• Maintain departmental SOPs, documentation, licenses, and IT records.

User Support & Technical Assistance

• Provide technical support to all hotel departments.
• Resolve hardware, software, networking, and application-related issues efficiently.
• Support banquet/events requirements related to audio-visual and IT setups.
• Assist users with system access, troubleshooting, and operational training.

Information Security & Compliance

• Ensure data security, firewall protection, antivirus management, and access control.
• Monitor cybersecurity risks and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational and guest information.
• Ensure compliance with hotel IT policies and audit requirements.

Vendor & Asset Management

• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Manage IT inventory, software licenses, and annual maintenance contracts.
• Monitor procurement requirements for IT equipment and systems.

Project & System Implementation

• Assist in implementation and upgrading of hotel IT systems and technologies.
• Coordinate installations, migrations, testing, and deployment activities.
• Recommend technological improvements to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of hotel IT operations and hospitality systems.
• Hands-on experience with Opera PMS, POS, ALIF, and other hotel applications.
• Good understanding of networking, servers, cybersecurity, and system administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle operational pressure and emergency situations efficiently.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT operations/support.
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Experience in handling hotel software applications and infrastructure management is essential.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 – ₹55,000.00 per month
