Associate QA Engineer – Fresher Full Time NEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Associate QA Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to learn the product ecosystem, execute test cases, identify bugs, and slowly transition into building automated test suites.

This is a foundational role with a clear career progression path into advanced manual testing, automation engineering, or performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution & Documentation: Review software requirements, user stories, and technical design documents to create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Defect Tracking: Execute manual functional, regression, sanity, and UI/UX testing. Document, track, and prioritize software bugs with clear, reproducible steps using project management tools.
• Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional development teams to understand feature requirements and isolate issues. Participate in sprint planning and daily standups.
• Automation Learning Curve: Assist in maintaining existing automation test scripts and gradually learn to write basic automated tests under the guidance of senior team members.
• Quality Advocacy: Act as a champion for the end-user experience, ensuring that software updates do not break existing workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (recent graduates welcome).
• Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent logical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for edge cases and UI inconsistencies.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document complex technical bugs clearly and concisely.

Technical Familiarity:

• Basic knowledge of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries to verify data.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) is a strong plus.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON, APIs).
• Tools (Good to Have / Training Provided): Familiarity with tools like Jira, Postman (for API testing), JMeter (for performance testing), or basic exposure to automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright) is an advantage.
