About OB Khakra
OB Khakra is a fast-growing healthy snacks brand from Oberoi Foods. With orders coming in daily from our field sales team via Sales Force automation software – Field Assist, we need a detail-oriented Billing Accountant in Mumbai to ensure every order converts to an accurate bill and every rupee is tracked.
Role Overview
You own the entire billing cycle. From the moment a salesman punches an order in Field Assist/SFA to the time payment is collected, you’re responsible for speed, accuracy, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order to Bill: Pick up all orders posted by salesmen on the Sales Force Automation system daily. Check for accuracy in SKU, qty, pricing, and schemes.
2. Invoice Generation: Create GST-compliant invoices on time for all orders. Ensure bills match approved price lists and trade schemes.
3. Dispatch Coordination: Handover printed invoices to the delivery vehicle and concerned salesman before dispatch. Ensure no order leaves without a bill.
4. Payment Tracking: Maintain a daily ledger of advance vs credit orders. Track payment due from each salesman/outlet.
5. Follow-up: Coordinate with salesmen for credit collection as per company credit policy. Send payment reminders and flag overdue accounts.
6. Reconciliation: Match bills vs collections vs bank deposits daily. Report discrepancies to Accounts Manager.
7. Records & Compliance: Maintain soft + hard copies of all invoices, Ledger copies, and payment receipts.
8. Support: Resolve billing disputes raised by salesmen or customers. Coordinate with ASM for rate approvals or adjustments.
What We’re Looking For:
– 2-5 years experience in billing/accounting, preferably FMCG/Food/Beverages
– Hands-on with SFA tools like Field Assist, + Tally/Excel
– Strong understanding of GST billing, debit/credit notes, basic accounting
– High attention to detail and speed. Zero-error mindset
– Good follow-up skills. Comfortable calling salesmen daily for payment updates
– B.Com/M.Com preferred. Additional accounting certification is a plus
