Category Manager – Furniture industry Full Time NEW

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead product strategy, category planning, and vendor management within the furniture segment. The role involves driving profitability, optimizing product portfolio, and aligning category strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategy for furniture products
Manage product selection, assortment planning, and lifecycle management
Handle vendor sourcing, development, and negotiations
Define pricing strategy and margin optimization
Conduct market research & competitor benchmarking
Collaborate with sales, design, procurement, and production teams
Drive product development initiatives
Monitor category performance and implement improvements
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong understanding of furniture product categories
Experience in procurement, sourcing & vendor management
Knowledge of pricing, margins & profitability analysis
Expertise in market analysis and trend forecasting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with ERP / SAP systems
Analytical mindset with strong business acumen

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field
MBA / PGDM preferred

Experience
8–15 years
Preferred background: Furniture, Modular Furniture, Interior Products, Home Décor, Manufacturing
