Description

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Clarity PPM Full Stack Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level solutions within the Broadcom Clarity PPM platform. You will work at the intersection of financial processes, IT business processes, back-end architecture, database engineering, and application customization to deliver scalable, reliable, and performant portfolio and project management capabilities to teams across Apple.

Responsibilities

• SQL Development & Architecture: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and packages that power Clarity PPM’s reporting, data processing, and integration layers.
• Clarity Data Model Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the Clarity PPM data model, including out-of-the-box and custom objects, attributes, lookups, partitions, and OBS structures. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all customizations.
• GEL Script Development: Author, maintain, and optimize GEL (Generic Execution Language) scripts for process automation, custom integrations, data transformations, and workflow orchestration within Clarity PPM.
• Clarity Architecture & Configuration: Design and implement architectural solutions within Clarity PPM, including custom objects, portlets, pages, processes, and integrations. Evaluate platform capabilities and constraints to recommend scalable approaches.
• SDLC Ownership: Participate fully in the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering and technical design through development, code review, testing, deployment, and post-release support. Champion engineering best practices at every stage.
• Performance & Optimization: Profile and tune SQL queries, database schemas, and GEL processes for optimal performance at enterprise scale. Identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear, thorough technical documentation, including data dictionaries, architectural diagrams, and runbooks.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Broadcom Clarity PPM (formerly CA PPM / CA Clarity)
• 5+ years of advanced SQL development experience (Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server), including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and developing GEL scripts for Clarity processes and integrations
• Deep understanding of the Clarity PPM data model, including investment types, resource management, financial modules, and custom object relationships
• Solid understanding of database architecture principles: normalization, indexing strategies, partitioning, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Clarity PPM SaaS (Clarity Modern UX) and its evolving architecture
• Demonstrated experience working within a structured SDLC, including Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI customization within Clarity portlets and pages
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and building integrations between Clarity and external systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, SAP)
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration strategies related to PPM platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) for managing Clarity customizations
• Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as Jaspersoft, Power BI, or Tableau
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
