Day Internal Audit & Financial Controls

• Conduct internal audits of accounting, operational, and financial processes.
• Review general ledger transactions, journal entries, invoices, reimbursements, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate internal control systems and recommend process improvements.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and internal approval processes.
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls.
• Prepare audit findings, reports, and corrective action recommendations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and financial reviews.

Budgeting & Budgetary Controls

• Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
• Perform monthly variance analysis for revenue, expenses, payroll, and overhead costs.
• Track actual vs budget performance and provide management insights.
• Support management in cost optimization and profitability improvement.
• Develop financial models and budget tracking reports.
• Assist departments in budget planning and expenditure control.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly MIS reports and management dashboards.
• Analyze financial statements and operational performance indicators.
• Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, and cost trends.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide analytical support for management decision-making.

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Support compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and audit standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record retention practices.
• Improve finance and approval workflows for operational efficiency.
• Participate in automation and ERP process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• CMA / CMA Inter / CPA equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 3–7 years of experience in internal audit, budgeting, financial analysis, or controllership functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience working with US-based companies or US accounting processes preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
