About Fuelshine
Fuelshine is an AI-powered mileage and tax-logging app built for North American gig drivers — Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, and other independent contractors. We help drivers save on fuel and automatically generate IRS and CRA-compliant tax logs, all from their phone. We are a small, founder-led team that grows through trust and community rather than paid advertising.
About the Role
We are hiring a Community Marketing Specialist to grow Fuelshine inside the spaces where gig drivers actually spend their time — Reddit, UberPeople.net, driver Facebook groups, TikTok, and creator communities. This is not a content-calendar role. You will be the recognisable voice of Fuelshine in these communities, building trust through genuinely useful posts, short videos, and creator relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a consistent daily presence across r/uberdrivers, r/doordash_drivers, UberPeople.net, and relevant Facebook groups. Helpful first, brand-first never.
- Plan, script, and edit short-form videos for TikTok and Reels — fuel tips, tax explainers, mileage tracking demos.
- Publish driver-focused SEO content, including the annual Gig Driver Tax Guide for CRA and IRS tax seasons.
- Run and iterate the referral programme (one month free per successful referral).
- Identify and reach out to creators, podcasters, and group admins — including The Rideshare Guy, Gridwise.io, and similar — to open partnership conversations. The founder handles deal closure.
- Track every signup to source using UTM links and an attribution dashboard. Share a weekly performance update.
- Surface user feedback, feature requests, and competitor signals from the communities back to the product and founder.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years in community management, growth marketing, or content-led acquisition
- Demonstrable track record of growing an online community — please include before-and-after numbers in your application
- Hands-on experience with Reddit and online forums; clear understanding of the line between helpful and salesy
- Ability to script, shoot, and edit short-form video independently (CapCut or Canva level is sufficient)
- Strong, natural written English — you will be in conversation with North American drivers daily
- Working comfort with UTM tracking, link analytics, and basic attribution
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the North American gig economy
- SEO content or HubSpot experience
- Past experience designing or scaling a referral programme
- Existing relationships with creators in the gig driver or rideshare space
