Control Room Officer Full Time NEW

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Control Room Engineer to support the smooth operation of our mechanized material handling systems, ensuring efficient cargo movement, accurate operational reporting, and seamless coordination across terminal functions.

🔍 Role Overview

As a Control Room Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating import, export, and dispatch operations through automated systems while ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and accurate documentation.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Operations Management

• Ensure smooth operation of mechanized material handling systems for import, export, and dispatch cargo
• Operate and monitor SCADA systems, stacking/reclaiming systems, and DSS operations
• Coordinate with technicians, operators, and helpers for efficient system start-up, shutdown, and uninterrupted operations
• Escalate equipment observations and breakdowns to maintenance teams and shift in-charge

🔹 Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with power plant control rooms for coal feeding requirements and system operations
• Monitor bunker levels and support uninterrupted material flow
• Work closely with yard supervisors and equipment operators for optimum yard utilization and reclaiming operations

🔹 Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure cargo stacking in designated plots and delivery within Delivery Order (DO) / Customs Out of Charge (OOC) limits
• Ensure GPCB compliance through dust-free cargo handling and operation of Dust Suppression Systems (DSS)
• Maintain operational records, including:
• Cargo discharged & delivered reports
• Conveyor / mechanized system utilization logs
• Equipment stoppages & operational analysis
• Power & fuel consumption records
• DSS water logbooks

🔹 Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare shift reports and vessel operation analysis reports
• Coordinate with documentation teams for stock accounting and cargo tracking
• Immediately report operational incidents to management as required

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute
• 0–2 years of experience (Freshers with relevant exposure may also apply)

🧠 Skills Required

• Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering
• Good communication skills (Hindi & English)
• Working knowledge of MS Office & computer systems
• Basic understanding of industrial/mechanized systems preferred
