Finishing Engineer Full Time NEW

Job Purpose

To ensure timely, defect-free completion of all finishing works for residential and commercial projects as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and budgeted costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning Execution
• Review architectural, interior, and MEP drawings for finishing scope before execution.
• Prepare finishing schedule, material tracker, and labor deployment plan in coordination with PM.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, and faade teams to avoid rework and clashes.
• Site Supervision Residential Commercial
• Supervise all finishing activities: POP, gypsum, painting, tiling, marble/granite, flooring, false ceiling, doors/windows, kitchen, wardrobes, faade finishes, external paint.
• Ensure sample flats/show offices are completed as per sales/marketing timelines.
• Monitor workmanship quality for apartments, lobbies, basements, podiums, retail units, office spaces.
• Quality Snagging
• Conduct stage-wise quality checks using checklists for each finishing activity.
• Raise and close snags with contractors before client/PMC handover.
• Ensure zero major defects during customer possession and final handover.
• Vendor Contractor Management
• Allocate work fronts to finishing contractors and monitor daily productivity.
• Check contractor RA bills for finishing items and certify quantities.
• Coordinate with vendors for material delivery: tiles, CP fittings, sanitaryware, hardware, paints.
• Material Inventory Control
• Prepare BBS and material indents for finishing items.
• Minimize wastage of tiles, paint, gypsum, hardware through proper planning.
• Verify material quality at site vs approved make/material list.
• Safety Compliance
• Ensure all finishing works follow site safety norms: PPE, scaffold safety, work at height.
• Adhere to local building codes, RERA commitments, and green building requirements if applicable.
• Documentation Handover
• Maintain finishing inspection reports, snag lists, and handover checklists.
• Coordinate with CRM for customer modifications and possession readiness.
• Support OC/CC documentation with as-built finishing details.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of IS codes, finishing materials, and BOQ items
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and GFCs
• Experience in both high-rise residential and commercial/IT/retail finishing
• Hands-on with snagging apps like PlanRadar, SiteAudit, or Excel trackers
• Good coordination with architects, interior designers, PMC, and contractors
