Role Summary –

Senior Fixed Assets Accountant/Analyst to oversee and manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, reporting, and analysis within our telecommunications infrastructure, specifically undersea cable systems. Should have experience in Management Accounting, GL Accounting of various costs, cost center accounting and Reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with IFRS, optimize asset management processes, and provide valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities-

• Oversee the capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Industry standards and company policies.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), reconciling it with the General Ledger.
• Manage the capitalization of labor costs, ensuring proper allocation of direct and indirect labor expenses to fixed assets in compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct capital expenditure (CAPEX) analysis, ensuring proper tracking and allocation of investments.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to track asset lifecycle, costs, and impairments.
• Analise administrative cost base of the group advising on optimization and savings opportunities
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations related to fixed assets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and audit schedules.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate asset-related data.
• Identify and implement process improvements for fixed asset management and reporting.
• Expertise in GL Accounting and reporting of costs, cost center accounting, budget vs actuals

Who we are looking for –

• 8+ years of experience incl at least 3 years in fixed asset accounting, preferably within the telecommunications, infrastructure, or utilities sectors.
• Ideally: Experience in Telecoms
• Good knowledge of IFRS and experience with large-scale capital projects.
• Knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS 16) and regulatory reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with CAPEX projects and asset impairment assessments.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and financial teams.
