The Context
Marketing at Ditto isn’t a support function. It is one of the most critical engines of the business.
We follow a strict no-spam policy — which means we can’t buy growth cheaply or carelessly. Every lead we source gets a real human advisor spending real time on them. We’re not VC-backed, so scaling at all costs isn’t an option. We scale smart, we scale profitable, and we keep the Ditto experience intact while doing it.
Performance Marketing is one of the few channels where we can directly control the quality and volume of leads coming in — and it’ll be central to how we get from 10L to 20L+ customers advised by 2027
We’ve been running PM for about two years. The foundations are in place. What we need now isn’t someone to run campaigns — it’s someone to build sustainable systems & teams, and strategize on the next leg of growth.
The Role
This is a Founders Office role within the marketing function. You’ll work directly with the co-founders and VP Marketing on three problems:
1. Build scalable systems for PM. Right now, decisions get made. What doesn’t always exist is the framework behind the decision — the measurement mechanism, the documentation, the playbook that makes it repeatable. Your job is to change that. Every campaign launch should have a clear brief. Every experiment should have a tracking system. Every decision should have data behind it, and a record that survives beyond the person who made it.
If you love writing SOPs and building systems that don’t collapse as a team scales, this problem was made for you.
2. Own the roadmap for the next phase of growth This isn’t a brief-execution role. You’ll be involved in building the PM strategy — what channels we double down on, what we test, how we think about the funnel from click to conversion to repeat. You’ll work on hiring plans, lead key campaign initiatives, and get your hands dirty when the work demands it. Strategy and execution aren’t separate here.
3. Manage and grow the team. There’s already a 5-member team in place — along with an in-house production team, copywriters, and designers. The infrastructure exists. Now we need someone who can set the strategy, manage performance, and build a team that runs well without constant oversight.

Because we don’t want someone who’s been in performance marketing long enough to have all their instincts calcified.
Ditto has done things differently — no spam, no aggressive retargeting, no growth-hacking at the cost of experience. We want someone who can bring fresh thinking to problems that the industry typically solves badly, and who has the hunger to figure things out rather than default to what worked somewhere else.
This role is essentially running your own digital marketing agency — your team, your vision, your planning — but without the existential risk of having an entire business on your shoulders. It’s the best possible setup for someone who wants to learn what it actually takes to build something.
How This Role Evolves
After you’ve settled in and the systems are running, there are two realistic paths depending on where your strengths take you:
You become a strong team leader — someone who loves running a function, coaching people, delegating well, and building the kind of team culture that retains good talent.
Or you become a high-impact IC — the systems you’ve built run largely on their own, a good people manager comes in to support the team, and you shift to the next hard problem.
Either way, this role is a serious accelerant for anyone who wants to eventually run something of their own — and wants to do it after learning what running a business actually looks like from the inside.
