Job Summary
The Front Office OPD Billing Executive is responsible for patient registration, OPD billing, appointment management, cash handling, and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors while ensuring accurate billing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Registration & Reception
* Register new and existing patients in the Hospital Management System (HMS).
* Verify patient demographics, contact details, and insurance information.
* Manage patient appointments and coordinate with doctors’ schedules.
* Guide patients regarding hospital services and procedures.
OPD Billing
* Generate OPD consultation bills and service invoices accurately.
* Process payments through cash, card, UPI, and other approved payment modes.
* Ensure correct application of consultation charges, discounts, and packages as per hospital policy.
* Prepare and issue receipts to patients.
Cash Handling & Reconciliation
* Maintain daily cash collection records.
* Perform end-of-day cash and billing reconciliation.
* Submit daily collection reports to the Accounts Department.
* Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies.
Insurance & TPA Coordination
* Verify insurance/TPA eligibility where applicable.
* Maintain required documentation for insured patients.
* Coordinate with TPA/insurance teams for billing-related queries.
Customer Service
* Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally.
* Provide information regarding doctor availability, consultation fees, and hospital services.
* Ensure a positive patient experience at the front desk.
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain patient records and billing documents.
* Generate daily OPD billing reports.
* Ensure confidentiality of patient information as per hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
* Graduate in any discipline.
* 1–3 years of experience in hospital front office or billing..
* Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).

* Cash handling and reconciliation skills.
* Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 – ₹20,000.00 per month
