Role Description

We are seeking a General Manager to lead Manufacturing Operations at GESCO Healthcare. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The responsibilities include overseeing production planning, ensuring operational excellence, managing day-to-day manufacturing operations, setting and achieving performance metrics, and managing budgets. The role also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards to deliver world-class medical devices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in precision machining and handling machines such as CNCs and VMCs
• Proficiency in handling both high volume and Tool and Die type work
• Proficiency in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations
• Experience in New product development
• Strong expertise in Operations Management and Operational Excellence
• Experience with Budgeting and financial planning for operations
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• In-depth knowledge of quality standards, compliance, and safety regulations
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a relevant field is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus
• Proven experience in manufacturing industry is critical
