General Secretary Full Time

The Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), established on May 30, 2010, is the leading organization committed to the growth and development of the intimate apparel industry in India. With a mission to enhance manufacturing, distribution, design, and marketing standards, the IAAI strives to make the industry a significant player both domestically and globally. Over the years, the association has grown to include 500+ manufacturers and 2000+ trade and distribution partners. IAAI actively collaborates with government bodies and organizations to promote intimate wear through research, trade fairs, exhibitions, and global initiatives.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Secretary, based in Kalyan Dombivli. The General Secretary will oversee the operational management of the association, coordinate activities and events, liaise with members, maintain accurate records, and ensure effective communication within the organization. Responsibilities also include managing administrative tasks, supporting decision-making processes, organizing meetings, and representing IAAI in collaborations with stakeholders and government authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in organizational management and administration, including record-keeping, correspondence, and scheduling
• Strong skills in communication, stakeholder relationship management, and collaboration
• Ability to plan and execute events, trade fairs, and exhibitions effectively
• Basic understanding of market research, industry trends, and policy advocacy
• Proficiency in tools and software for organizing and tracking documentation and communication
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership abilities
• Experience or knowledge in the garment or textile industry is advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field
