Compensation: USD 14,000 – 15,000 per month(Tax Free) + other benefits

About the Role

A leading diversified business group with operations across multiple sectors is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group COO to lead and oversee its operations in Angola. The role involves managing large-scale, multi-industry business units and driving growth, efficiency, and profitability.

Business Units Under Scope

The role will oversee operations across the following business verticals:

• FMCG Distribution – Large-scale distribution networks, channel management, and principal partnerships
• Manufacturing Units – Plant operations, production efficiency, and quality control
• Retail Operations – Store performance, customer experience, and expansion
• Packaging Business – End-to-end packaging solutions and client servicing
• Logistics & Supply Chain – Warehousing, transportation, and inventory optimization
• Trading & International Business – Global sourcing, vendor management, and cross-border trade

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all business units
• Drive integration and synergy between verticals for maximum efficiency
• Own and manage overall P&L and EBITDA performance
• Establish strong operational frameworks, SOPs, and governance models
• Lead expansion initiatives including new business setups and market entry
• Optimize supply chain and distribution networks
• Strengthen relationships with global partners, vendors, and stakeholders
• Implement KPI-driven performance management systems
• Ensure compliance with local laws and international standards
• Build and lead high-performing leadership teams

Key Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in group-level or multi-business operations leadership
• Strong exposure to FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or diversified industries
• Proven experience managing large-scale P&L responsibilities
• Experience in Africa or similar emerging markets (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability in scaling, restructuring, and transforming businesses
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-cultural management skills
