Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Howrah. The Head Accountant will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, manage budgets, analyze financial data, and prepare detailed reports. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, optimizing financial processes, managing accounts payable/receivable, and leading audits. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and providing strategic insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
- Knowledge of tax laws, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Expertise in accounting software and financial management tools
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
- Relevant work experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the manufacturing sector
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with cross-functional teams
