What you will be doing
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Tech Team (Bocal) to join our
organization and play a pivotal role in transforming the education landscape of our
country. You will work closely with our local and international teams, to ensure the
successful delivery of our curriculum in alignment with our pedagogical approach.
Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance and management of our school’s
equipment and infrastructure, as well as lead the mentors team.
What is The Bocal and why is it so central?
● The “Bocal” (meaning “Jar” in French) is the central space dedicated to the
campus’s technical, educational, and administrative team, starting from the
launch of the candidate recruitment campaign.
● This is the command center where the team manages the technical and then
pedagogical operations, including the relationships with the candidates and
the learners.
Your main responsibilities will be
● Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing
environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware,
and configurations.
● Assume technical authority over the platform and lead internal tech initiatives.

● Install and manage the school’s informatics
infrastructure and network, which includes server
infrastructure, computer networks, and conference room equipment.
● Coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data,
software, and hardware.
● Collaborate with team to understand the curriculum and provide suggestions
and communication regarding pedagogical tech content.
● Develop a deep understanding of the platform and be able to identify and
communicate platform bugs to the tech team.
● Boost a collaborative environment, based on autonomy and peer-learning
● Audit student work during test periods and communicate with students during
recruitment and curriculum periods to address questions.
● Monitor, maintain, and repair the school’s informatics infrastructure and
network.
● Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related
problems.
● Ensure credibility with corporate partners and understand their technical
requirements for events.
● Support tech events organization and collaborations.
● Query databases to perform analytics and extract insights.
● Monitor network performance and adjust as needed.
● Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and
operating system software.
● Gather and process tickets and issues from coworkers and students, and
communicate them to the tech and learning experience teams.
Experience and Skills we are looking for
● A computer science background with experience in multiple programming
languages and the ability to learn new languages.
● Minimum of 5 years experience in similar functions.
● Comprehensive knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware, including
LAN and WAN.
● Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network
infrastructure devices, such as wireless access points, firewalls, and routers.
● Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for planning
and designing network communication systems.
● Quick learner with the ability to grasp new technology and products using
available resources.
● Experience in an environment using peer-to-peer (P2P) learning is a plus
● Network security experience is a plus.
● Strong leadership and Management skills, inspiring trust, passion with a strong
sense of ethics.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
