Head – Warehouse and Logistics Full Time

We are seeking a Senior Warehouse Logistics Head to join our team in Indore, in a full-time role.

This position is pivotal in managing the end-to-end logistics operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management and logistics, leveraging advanced systems and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity within our supply chain.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire logistics and warehousing operations to meet company objectives.
• Develop and implement effective inventory and warehouse management strategies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
• Lead and manage warehouse staff, providing training and development opportunities as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction within logistics operations.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Assign work schedules and responsibilities to warehouse personnel involved in packing, loading, crating, dispatching, and more.
• Monitor and report on key warehouse metrics to management.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely and cost-efficient purchasing, storage, and shipping.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives like 5-S and the Kanban system in both Inward Outward Stores.
• Administer and evaluate short- and long-term warehouse objectives to enhance business performance.
• Lead the development and competency-building of warehouse staff to create a flexible workforce.
• Ensure adherence to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures within the warehouse.
• Utilize MM-SAP and SD-SAP modules for inventory planning, inward store management, and dispatch operations.
• Manage dispatches for both domestic and export customers and handle related GST and sales tax compliance.

Qualifications And Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management software, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient inventory control (Mandatory skill).
• Experience with warehouse management systems for streamlining operations and productivity (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in logistics coordination to manage inbound and outbound logistics effectively (Mandatory skill).
• Skilled in forklift operation for safe and efficient material handling within the warehouse.
• Proficient in order picking, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for customers.
• Familiarity with barcoding technology, helping to maintain organized and error-free inventory systems.
• Strong adherence to safety protocol to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
• Efficient in material handling, including loading and unloading goods safely and securely.
