What will you be doing?

You will be part of the IT Infra Projects department, which is responsible for implementing and supporting the customer’s IT infrastructure.

The IT infrastructure is an integral part of the automated material handling systems that we provide to our customers.

The IT Projects department develops the IT infrastructure products and processes used for customer implementations, implements various customer solutions worldwide, and helps support departments with the lifecycle management of customers thereafter, You will play a significant role in the delivery of our diverse services.

• In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team that implements the IT Infrastructure during project execution for our customers worldwide.

You will work closely with fellow IT engineers who are responsible for the product development and/or the service and support of the customer systems.

Your Challenge & Key Responsibilities

• Take the technical responsibility for implementing our IT Infrastructure projects and products.
• Coordinating delivery with project members and system partners for the deployment of servers, storage solutions, and the remaining IT infrastructure scope.
• Supporting the project lead in project delivery, determining resource and material needs, and carrying out each process step as planned.
• Implementing complex server/client/storage/network structures.
• Testing the implementation of the IT solution prior to shipment.
• Guiding the installation, configuration, and commissioning of the mentioned solutions. Conducting fault analysis on these systems to assist the engineers.
• Support virtualisation, Windows, and Linux-related topics.
• Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues & escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
• Excellent organizational, and support case management skills. A successful communicator at all levels using all media, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience providing end-user support in a high-availability, mission-critical support operation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the organization.
• Strong knowledge of standard hardware & software configurations, Storage, and Computing preferred.
• Demonstrates skill, knowledge, and understanding of company, products, job duties, and appropriate work methods.
• You will be based in our Pune office.

Your Background

The successful candidate will have the following:

Certifications:

• MCSA/MCSE
• RHCE/RHCA
• VCP-DCV

All certification is a must.

Technical skills (Mandatory)

• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• More than 15 yrs. of exp in Windows, Linux and VMware administration
• Have experience as a Lead Engineer working on large, complex projects
• Sound knowledge of server environments Microsoft Windows Server 2022), Client OS (Windows 10,11)
• Sound Knowledge of Virtualisation, VMware ESXi 8.0 or above.
• Sound knowledge of Linux and Container Technology
• Having expertise in Patching Windows, Linux & ESXi servers is mandatory.
• Experience with HP server and storage platforms would be an added advantage.
• Expert knowledge of Server hardware and monitoring concepts related to the same.
• Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools like OP5 & Nagios would be desired.
• Can acquire knowledge and certification of relevant IT Infra disciplines if necessary
• Has knowledge of change, configuration, requirements and test management and relevant tooling Soft skills (mandatory)
• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing multidisciplinary teams in an international, technical environment.
• A committed personality and a team player.
• This role involved customer-facing support also. We need a quick decision maker who can communicate with the customer and drive the day-to-day work for Warehouses.

Highly regarded (optional)

• Experience in the setup of automated tests and deployment chains (CI/CD) is highly appreciated
• Experience with issue tracking tools(Jira).
