We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer who wants to build production-grade software that genuinely matters, learn from experienced engineers, and grow fast inside a product company at an early, high-momentum stage.

About the role

You will work on modern web applications using Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, collaborating closely with senior developers to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly products. This is an ideal opportunity for developers with strong fundamentals who enjoy picking up new technologies and want real, hands-on experience shipping to production.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js and React.
• Build and enhance backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js or similar frameworks.
• Design, write, and optimise SQL queries in PostgreSQL.
• Implement responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior engineers to deliver features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Apply software engineering best practices, and contribute to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

What we are looking for

Frontend

• Good understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with component-based architecture.

Backend

• Basic to intermediate experience with Node.js.
• Understanding of RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with authentication concepts such as JWT and session-based authentication.
• Comfort with backend debugging and error handling.

Database

• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts.
• Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as Prisma or Sequelize is a plus.

General

• Understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Personal, academic, freelance, or internship projects that demonstrate full-stack skills.
• Familiarity with Prisma ORM, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and unit or integration testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Exposure to server-side rendering and API routes in Next.js.
• Understanding of application security best practices.
• Knowledge of caching and performance optimisation techniques.
• Open-source contributions or a technical portfolio.
