The Opportunity
Lead Finance. Influence Decisions. Scale Global Businesses.
As a Lead Accountant (US GAAP), you will take full ownership of financial reporting, close processes, and team delivery across multiple US clients.
You will operate as a trusted partner to US leadership (Controllers, CFOs, Founders) — combining technical accounting expertise with business insight and leadership.
This role is ideal for professionals coming from consulting firms, Big4, or high-performance finance environments, looking to move into a high-ownership, client-facing leadership role.
What You’ll Do (Leadership + Impact)
- Lead preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and business insights
- Own and drive the month-end close process across multiple clients with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and scalability
- Ensure data integrity and strong internal controls across all assigned accounts
- Analyze financial results, deliver variance analysis (vs. plan & prior periods), and present insights to client leadership
- Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies with speed and clarity
- Lead KPI reporting, including 13-week cash flow forecasting and performance metrics
- Design, implement, and strengthen internal control frameworks
- Lead external audit coordination, ensuring readiness and smooth execution
- Review and oversee General Ledger activities and reconciliations
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, AP, Treasury, IT, and other business teams
- Drive process improvements, automation, and AI adoption in accounting workflows
- Lead and mentor junior team members, providing direction, review, and performance feedback
- Take ownership of ad hoc finance projects, strategic analysis, and process transformation initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12 years of experience in accounting/finance, with strong exposure to US GAAP
- Background in consulting firms, Big4, investment banking, or high-growth companies preferred
- Strong experience in financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver in a client-facing environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong analytical capabilities with ability to work on large datasets (advanced Excel skills required)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior leadership
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Active CPA mandatory | MBA (top-tier) is a plus
