Adani Power Limited (APL): Adani Power Limited (APL), a part of the diversified Adani Group, is the largest private thermal power producer in India. We have a power generation capacity of 15,250 MW comprising thermal power plants in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, and a 40 MW solar power project in Gujarat.

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives in new business opportunities and mergers and acquisitions focusing business requirements and goals. The individual will oversee the successful execution of key deliverables and provide leadership to multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Section Head Business Growth – Information Technology

• Support IT infrastructure implementation across project phases (e.g., Guest House, Porta Cabin, Construction buildings, departmental offices, admin/service buildings).
• Assist in digital initiatives and automation projects under guidance.
• Ensure adherence to corporate IT standards and security practices during implementation.
• Contribute to on-time delivery of IT-related project milestones. Provide hands-on support for IT setup at project sites.
• Coordinate with outsourced agencies to ensure SLA compliance for IT services.
• Manage IT assets and inventory at site; maintain accurate records.
• Assist in procurement of IT materials for implementation and operations.
• Support day-to-day IT project management and cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor and report progress on IT deliverables and operational tasks. Prepare budget estimation and tracking for IT infrastructure at site.
• Adhere to the business process, system and DOA.
• Support cost control measures and MIS reporting. Demonstrate effective communication and ownership of assigned tasks.
• Show willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• IT Project Support and Coordination
• IT Service Management (liaison with vendors).
• IT Asset & Inventory Management.
• IT Vendor Coordination for outsourced services.
• IT Setup implementation at project site.
• Ensure user service requests are fulfilled by outsourced agency within SLA.
• Assist in procurement of IT material for implementation and running IT services at site/location.
• Support budget estimation and monitoring for site/location.
• Assist Training Department to organize IT-related trainings for end-users.
• Participate in business transformation initiatives and digital projects.
• Support IT enablement activities for business teams.
• Job may require relocation to another site as per business need.
• Ensure safety adherence during site IT project implementation and day-to-day operations (zero tolerance for safety violations).

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or MCA.

• Certifications like ITIL Foundation, CCNA, MCSE, or PMP (preferred but not mandatory).

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

8-10 years in IT infrastructure projects or operations.

Exposure to vendor coordination and IT asset management is desirable.

General Expectation

Willingness to travel to project sites as per business needs.

• Ability to work in dynamic project environments and meet deadlines.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, end-user devices).

Familiarity with IT service management processes (ITIL basics preferred).

Ability to document requirements and change requests.
