Role Summary

The candidate will lead end-to-end creative design for the Undergraduate (UG) outreach team, delivering compelling, brand-aligned visuals across digital, print, and experiential formats. The role demands strong visual storytelling, the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight timelines, and effective coordination with vendors, freelancers, and internal teams. The role also carries responsibility for mentoring junior designers and building a high-performing, process-oriented design culture.

Key Responsibilities

A. Creative Design & Delivery

• Design WhatsApp creatives optimized for mobile engagement and audience conversions.
• Produce drip emailer banner creatives aligned to campaign cadence and messaging.
• Create ad creatives tailored for digital marketing platforms – social media, Google Ads, and website.
• Develop event templates for open houses, webinars, and other outreach activities.
• Design print and e-brochures for distinct audience segments to communicate UG programs clearly and compellingly.

B. Brand Compliance & Project Delivery

• Maintain 100% brand compliance across all design outputs – digital, print, merchandise, and events.
• Manage coordination with vendors and freelancers, ensuring quality delivery within agreed timelines.
• Improve delivery efficiency through structured planning, clear briefing, and disciplined review cycles.
• Research, design, and execute major projects spanning UG, MSinAI, YTS+, social media, and branding.
• Adhere to defined turnaround timelines: New Brochures – 15 days; UG / MSinAI / SM Creatives – 24–48 hours; Newsletter – 5 days (first week of each month); VC Deck and Faculty Booklet updates – as per schedule.

C. Team Leadership & Design Culture

• Conduct 2 structured monthly design reviews and feedback sessions to maintain team quality and alignment.
• Mentor and support junior designers, improving overall output quality and consistency across the team.
• Lead annual design planning for key university initiatives including events, conferences, and annual reports.
• Identify and implement 2–3 process or workflow improvements during the year to enhance team productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Communication, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline.
• 6–9 years of design experience, preferably in education, marketing communications, or an agency environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating multi-channel creative work – digital, print, social media, and experiential.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva.
• Familiarity with digital marketing platform creative specifications (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn).
• Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects under tight timelines.
• Experience coordinating with and briefing vendors, freelancers, and cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience mentoring or managing junior designers is an advantage.
