Your Impact as a Quality Assurance Engineer

This position will drive the Quality Assurance and Testing activities for the PathWise® high-performance software platform. As a QA Engineer, your primary and most critical focus will be executing comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that all new features and bug fixes meet the strict requirements of our end-users prior to quarterly releases. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the PathWise software system through rigorous manual and automated testing.

Job Responsibilities

• Primary Focus: Perform rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on features and bug fixes implemented by the Software Development team for quarterly releases of PathWise®.
• Collaborate directly with product managers, actuaries, and developers to understand deep business requirements and translate them into effective UAT scenarios and test criteria.
• Create and execute comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for the PathWise software system.
• Perform testing and benchmarking of client models on new PathWise software releases to ensure system performance remains optimal.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs clearly and systematically using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Perform thorough regression testing on resolved bugs and new features to prevent unintended side effects.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools to support and accelerate manual testing efforts.
• Contribute to the development and application of improved testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role, with a demonstrated focus on executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for complex software systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with white box, black box, stress, functional, and regression testing.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to view the software from an end-user’s perspective during UAT phases.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management software.
• Highly Desired (Nice to Have): Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, specifically Selenium.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is a strong plus.
• Experience with benchmarking, performance, and/or security testing is a plus.
