Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Category Manager to handle procurement, vendor management, and category growth for smartphones and related products. The role requires strong market understanding, ability to source from brands/distributors, and execution of schemes to drive sales and margins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure mobile phones and accessories from brands, distributors, and vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with mobile brands and channel partners.
- Negotiate pricing, margins, and commercial terms.
- Plan and execute promotional schemes, offers, and pricing strategies.
- Manage inventory planning, stock levels, and product mix.
- Track market trends, new launches, and competitor activities.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to drive category performance.
- Monitor category P&L, margins, and sales targets.
- Ensure timely product availability and smooth supply chain operations.
Key Requirements:
- 3–6 years of experience in mobile category management, buying, or procurement.
- Strong knowledge of smartphone market, brands, and distribution network.
- Experience in handling schemes, pricing, and margin management.
- Good vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
