Remote Senior Accountant, Technology – UK Shift Full Time NEW

The Opportunity:

This Senior Accountant position, based in India and aligned to UK business hours, offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic, high-growth organisation. Ziff Davis continues to expand its global footprint, and we are growing our accounting team to support this journey.

As part of a fast-paced, global finance function supporting a public company, this role will contribute to the oversight of all aspects of the Company’s accounting activities. You will be involved in full-cycle general ledger accounting within the Technology division, across multiple business units, analysing financial data to identify issues and inconsistencies, supporting internal and external reporting, and partnering with operational teams to provide accounting guidance.

This role requires a proactive and forward-thinking mindset, with a focus on driving process improvements and supporting automation initiatives. You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial processes, leveraging technology to deliver consistent, timely, and high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation and execution of monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including preparation of journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Take ownership of assigned close areas, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are proactively identified and resolved.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts within Oracle ARCS as part of month end close cycle with focus on continuous improvement
• Maintain Tangibles and Intangibles Asset Registers.
• Maintain and manage intercompany reconciliations.
• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Analyze financial information and drive month end support and documentation
• Liaison to internal and external auditors to support public company requirements
• Coordinate and prepare reports to provide management critical insights into the business and support data driven decision making.
• Support cross functional teams such as FP&A, Tax, Financial operations, Internal audit and Legal
• Ensure compliance with internal controls (e.g. SOX), including documentation, testing support, and remediation of control deficiencies.
• Leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within accounting processes, balancing innovation with compliance.

Job Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or India CA Qualified).
• 5+ years’ experience in operational accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, or a combination thereof.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, including Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), is advantageous
