School Counselor Full Time

School Counsellor – PYP (Chennai)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Counsellor to support student wellbeing within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). The role involves fostering a safe, inclusive environment and promoting students’ social-emotional development through a proactive and preventive counselling approach.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Psychology / Counselling
• Experience working with school-aged children (PYP/MYP preferred)
• Understanding of child development and social-emotional learning (SEL)
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to students
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Work closely with teachers to support student wellbeing in classrooms
• Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for students and parents
• Maintain appropriate records while ensuring confidentiality
• Contribute to safeguarding and child protection practices
