Position Overview
ePropelled is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Procurement – Manager to lead strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier development, supply chain operations, and project execution for our electric propulsion products and sustainable motor technologies.
Candidates with a strong Electronics Sourcing and Procurement background are highly preferred. The ideal candidate should have significant experience sourcing electronic components, PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, sensors, power electronics, electromechanical assemblies, motors, and related components used in electronics manufacturing and SMT operations.
This position combines supply chain leadership with project management responsibilities and requires close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, quality compliance, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic, electrical, mechanical, and custom-manufactured components.
- Lead sourcing and procurement of:
- Semiconductors
- Microcontrollers
- PCBs and PCB Assemblies
- Connectors
- Sensors
- Power Modules
- Passive Components
- Wiring Harnesses
- Electromechanical Assemblies
- Motors and Motor Components
- Manage sourcing activities supporting SMT manufacturing operations.
- Identify, qualify, and develop domestic and international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
- Drive RFQ/RFP processes for prototype and production programs.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, technical capability, and business continuity.
- Monitor component obsolescence, allocation risks, and supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify alternate components and mitigate supply risks.
- Support import sourcing and procurement activities from global suppliers.
- Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships.
2. Supply Chain Management
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier performance.
- Develop supply chain strategies aligned with production plans and business growth.
- Optimize inventory levels while supporting Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing.
- Reduce lead times and improve material availability.
- Conduct supplier audits and supplier development activities.
- Establish KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
3. Project Management (EV & Sustainable Motor Programs)
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects from concept through production.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects comply with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Track project progress and provide status updates to management.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and product launch activities.
4. Supplier & Partner Management
- Act as the primary interface between suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Build strategic supplier relationships to ensure long-term business continuity.
- Resolve commercial, quality, and delivery-related issues.
- Coordinate supplier participation during prototype development and production ramp-up.
- Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.
5. Prototype Development & New Product Introduction
- Manage procurement activities supporting prototype builds.
- Ensure timely availability of critical components.
- Work closely with Engineering teams during design validation and testing.
- Support supplier readiness for prototype and production programs.
- Facilitate rapid sourcing solutions for development projects.
6. Cost Management & Budget Control
- Manage procurement budgets and project expenditures.
- Drive supplier negotiations to achieve target costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing.
- Support value engineering initiatives with Engineering teams.
- Monitor supplier pricing trends and market intelligence.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor Supply Chain, Procurement, and related team members.
- Establish performance objectives and development plans.
- Foster collaboration across departments.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
8. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and company quality systems.
- Support supplier quality management and corrective action processes.
- Conduct supplier audits and quality reviews.
- Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies and regulatory standards.
9. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare reports on sourcing performance, supplier metrics, cost savings, and project progress.
- Present supply chain performance updates to management.
- Communicate supply chain risks and mitigation plans.
- Support strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis.

- 10–15+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, and manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 5–7 years in a leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience in Electronics Sourcing and Procurement.
- Experience sourcing electronic components, power electronics, PCB assemblies, motors, and electromechanical products.
- Experience working with global suppliers, distributors, OEMs, and contract manufacturers.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, vendor development, and strategic sourcing.
