About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Postgres/SQL Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance database solutions. This role involves developing complex SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and building robust data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient data solutions. Additionally, the role requires maintaining comprehensive documentation, adhering to best practices, and participating in Agile development cycles to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 5 years specializing in SQL and PostgreSQL. A strong background in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance tuning is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in writing complex stored procedures, UDFs, and analytical queries, along with expertise in performance optimization techniques such as index tuning and query analysis. Familiarity with data governance, dataflows, and role-level security (RLS) is preferred. Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and with version control tools like Git is also required. Additional skills in AI-assisted development tools, streaming data technologies, and NoSQL databases are considered advantageous.
