Indirect Tax Manager (Global Indirect Tax Compliance)

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

About The Role

The Indirect Tax Manager is a key member of the Global Finance and Tax organization and is responsible for managing global indirect tax compliance across multiple countries. This role serves as the primary liaison between country finance leaders and external tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant indirect tax filings.

This position is suited for a qualified tax professional with strong hands-on experience in indirect taxation, a structured and deadline-driven mindset, and the ability to independently manage complex, multi-country compliance requirements from India.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end indirect tax compliance across multiple countries, including GST, VAT, Sales & Use Tax, and other indirect taxes.
• Coordinate with external consultants and internal country finance teams to ensure timely and accurate filings.
• Act as the single point of contact for global indirect tax matters from India.
• Review returns, supporting schedules, and advisory outputs prepared by tax consultants.
• Track regulatory changes and assess business impact across jurisdictions.
• Maintain a global indirect tax compliance calendar and documentation trail.
• Support tax audits, assessments, and notices related to indirect taxes.

• 100% on-time, accurate indirect tax filings across all supported countries
• Strong coordination with global finance leaders and advisors
• Minimal audit findings and clearly supported tax positions

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
• 3–4 years of core indirect tax experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm
• Experience supporting multi-country indirect tax compliance
• Prior experience in multinational or global environments preferred

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• SAP S/4HANA and Excel proficiency preferred
