Job Description

Global Central Statistical team has the mission of leveraging in-house expertise and system to optimize the Statistical output globally, which will be the baseline forecast for IBP (Integrated Business Process) monthly Demand Planning process for every market around the globe.

Data Analysti responsible for overseeing our raw data, essential system jobs and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data and system, which is crucial for the Global Stats run. Ensuring the fundamental system jobs are scheduled and executed accordingly. Collaborating closely with other team members in the Central Stats team for any potential process and / or system enhancement which improves Stats outcome.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedule, update, monitor SAP IBP Jobs (including Demand History Outlier Correction jobs, Statistical run jobs, Time Series Properties jobs, Statistical Forecast Approving jobs, Segmentation Jobs), working closely with SAP IBP IT partners.
  • Overseeing our data, system jobs, and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data. Trouble shooting system and reporting Break-fix, together with IT and Data Science team.
  • Update Forecast Assignment (SAP IBP WebUI functionality) based on (Sr.) Central Stats Analyst’s conclusion, collaboratively.
  • Update stats related SAP IBP item master data (e.g. Center Stats Team attribute in IPCS)
  • Update MPL profile (Manage Product Lifecycle, SAP IBP WebUI functionality, incl. product substitution/replacement, phase-in/phase out profile), validating with confirmed Global Retirement strategy (incl. GDL, Global Discontinue List)
  • Supporting ad-hoc data query need for the team, from data base Oracle / Sybase / Postgres
  • Being the focal point of team with IT team, Data science team, and Demand CoE team, coordinating and facilitating the necessary (IT) process like BRD process (Business Requirements Documents), for the new/enhanced system feature or report determined by the team.
  • Follow up the new releases from SAP IBP (SAP Webinar) and share with team on key highlights in regard to Statistics.
  • Conduct Ad-hoc education session of existing system jobs and functionalities around Stats run to global Demand Planning team. Supporting the test and the development of new system functionality.
  • Document processes and procedures around Central Statistical Run.

Expected Areas Of Competence (i.e., Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or a comparable discipline is required.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience with Demand Planning, Statistical Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning or similar function is required. Experience with SAP IBP Demand Planning system is a plus.
  • Moderate Excel skill (e.g. Pivot table, Pivot charts and slices) is required. Advanced Excel skill like Macro / VBA is a plus.
  • Comfortable with working on numbers and data independently.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system (e.g.. ECC, SOP, BW) is a plus
  • Experience with Data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience with data query tool (e.g. DBeaver / MS PowerQuery / MS Access), or database (e.g. Oracle / Sybase / Postgres) is a plus.
  • Knowledge or application exp on AI/ML framework technology is a plus
  • Coding or Programming Skills like SQL, Python, and R is a plus
  • Professional Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Having Team Spirit and Self learning/development wiliness.
  • An understanding of the medical device (Orthopedic) industry and business operations is a plus.
