Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper (India) to support our business brokerage operations. The role involves managing financial records, preparing Profit & Loss statements, reviewing business financials, and assisting in preparing businesses for sale.

This is not a basic bookkeeping role it includes financial presentation support, business financial review preparation, and documentation for business sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple client businesses
• Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements and financial summaries
• Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies in financial data
• Prepare financial documents for business sale listings and buyer review packs
• Assist in financial analysis and performance reporting for businesses
• Prepare staff rosters and basic payroll summaries (where required)
• Organise and maintain structured financial documentation
• Support due diligence preparation during buyer enquiries
• Coordinate with brokers and internal teams on financial readiness of businesses

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support role
• Strong knowledge of P&L, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience working with SMEs preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Strong time management and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in business brokerage or advisory firms
• Exposure to business valuation or financial due diligence
• Understanding of payroll and roster structures
• Experience preparing financial summaries for business sales
