Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic procurement professional with 5 years of experience in logistics sourcing and vendor management. The role involves managing transportation procurement, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of logistics services including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Source and onboard transporters, 3PL vendors, and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed service standards.
- Manage RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, and vendor selection process.
- Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, warehouse, finance) for smooth execution.
- Track market trends, freight rates, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, rate cards, and vendor agreements.
- Resolve operational and billing issues with logistics vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement (preferred but not mandatory)
