IT Systems & Network Engineer Full Time NEW

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and versatile IT Systems & Network Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience to manage, maintain, and secure our organisation’s IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for everything from core networking (Sophos firewalls, routing, switching) and systems administration (Active Directory, GPOs) to cloud management (AWS/Azure) and essential IT support. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience configuring secure networks, managing user environments, and keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities: Network & Security Management

• Firewall Operations: Handle day-to-day operations and hands-on configuration of Sophos Firewalls, including writing firewall rules, monitoring traffic, and regular maintenance.
• Secure Connectivity: Design, implement, and maintain secure remote connections using IPsec VPN (for Site-to-Site connections) and SSL VPN (for secure user access).
• Traffic Routing: Configure NAT (Network Address Translation) rules, routing protocols, and optimize local network traffic.
• Switching & Segmenting: Manage and configure network switches, routers, and wireless Access Points, using VLANs to properly segment and secure network traffic.
• Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex network issues, connectivity drops, and bandwidth bottlenecks.

Systems & Directory Administration

• Active Directory (AD): Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Active Directory Domain Controller.
• User & Access Control: Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security groups within AD.
• Policy Enforcement: Design and deploy GPOs (Group Policy Objects) to standardise desktop environments, enforce security settings, and roll out software updates.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Cloud Management: Oversee and maintain servers hosted in the cloud.
• Cloud Platforms: Apply basic working knowledge of AWS and Azure environments to spin up instances, manage storage, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure.

IT Operations & Desktop Support

• Asset Management: Track and maintain IT assets, hardware inventory, licenses, and lifecycle documentation.
• Hardware & Peripheral Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across laptops, desktops, and office printers.
• Application & Mail Support: Handle application troubleshooting and manage mail configuration (Exchange/Office 365) for end-users.
• General Support: Provide high-quality, responsive normal IT support to resolve daily technical friction for team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven hands-on experience as an IT Support Engineer, Network Administrator, or Systems Administrator.
• Firewall Expertise: Direct, practical experience with Sophos Firewalls is highly preferred.
• Networking Knowledge: Deep understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, Routing, and Wi-Fi architecture.
• VPN Protocols: Strong familiarity with building and maintaining IPsec and SSL VPN tunnels.
• Systems Mastery: Solid experience installing and administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and managing environments via GPO.
• Cloud Basics: Foundational knowledge of AWS and/or Azure core services (EC2/VMs, VPC/VNet, IAM).
• Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills for tracking down elusive network, hardware, and software issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to assist non-technical users and document infrastructure changes clearly.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 – ₹28,000.00 per month
