Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Insurance Sales Person (ISP) based in Mumbai. As an ISP, you will be the licensed face of Maark Advisory — identifying prospective clients, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable life, health, and general insurance solutions from across our partner insurers. Responsibilities include explaining policy features and benefits, preparing and presenting quotes, and guiding clients through application and documentation. The role involves regular follow-ups, managing renewals, and providing ongoing support to ensure a positive client experience. You will collaborate with internal teams and insurance partners to resolve queries, support claims, and meet sales and service targets — all while adhering to IRDAI regulatory and compliance standards.

Mandatory Requirements (IRDAI)

• Resident of Maharashtra (required for ISP registration).
• Minimum Class 12 / HSC pass (graduate preferred).
• Willingness to complete the mandatory IRDAI/Insurance Institute of India (III) training (50 hours) and clear the ISP certification examination before commencing solicitation. (Candidates who are already III-certified ISPs are strongly preferred and can onboard immediately.)

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong sales ability with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a client-focused environment — this is fundamentally a relationship-and-closing role.
• Knowledge of life, health, and general insurance products (or the aptitude and willingness to learn quickly).
• Excellent customer-service skills — the ability to build trust, handle objections, and sustain long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in spoken Hindi and English. Knowledge of Marathi and other regional languages is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple client engagements.
• Comfort with basic digital tools (WhatsApp Business, CRM, email) — our tech does the heavy lifting, but you should be comfortable using it.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or advisory roles is preferred; high-aptitude freshers with genuine sales talent will be considered.
