Role Description The Manager Contract Manufacturing is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end contract manufacturing operations, including selection, onboarding, and oversight of third-party manufacturing partners. The manager will coordinate production planning, technology transfer, and supply schedules to ensure consistent product availability, quality, and cost efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include negotiating and managing supply agreements, monitoring vendor performance through KPIs, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, regulatory, and quality standards. The role will collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical teams to resolve operational issues, drive continuous improvement, and support new product launches and market expansions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience ( 8-10 yrs minimum ) in managing contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) or third-party manufacturers of formulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Solid knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including compliance and audit readiness.
• Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
• Demonstrated skills in vendor relationship management, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring using clear metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data, identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
• Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Quality, Regulatory, Technical, and Commercial teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in generic pharmaceuticals, sterile or non-sterile dosage forms, and technology transfer is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and partners simultaneously.
• Comfort working in a global, fast-paced environment with a focus on ethical, inclusive, and patient-centric decision-making.
