Job Description: Finance Manager (GST, Taxation, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis)
Position: Finance Manager
Role Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, taxation, GST compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
Prepare and review financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Monitor financial transactions and maintain strong internal controls.
2. GST & Taxation Compliance
Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, etc.).
Manage direct tax compliance, including TDS, advance tax, income tax provisions, and tax audits.
3. Budgeting, Planning & Financial Analysis (FP&A)
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Prepare financial models and business projections.
Provide management with actionable insights on revenue, costs, profitability, and working capital.
4. Balance Sheet & P&L Management
Ensure accuracy and integrity of Balance Sheet accounts through periodic reconciliations.
Monitor key P&L drivers and profitability metrics.
Analyze business performance and recommend corrective actions to improve financial outcomes.
5. Audit & Compliance
Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and financial governance standards
Develop and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Address audit observations and implement corrective actions.
6. Stakeholder Management
Partner with business heads to support operational and strategic decisions.
Required Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CPA, MBA Finance
8–10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, and FP&A.
Strong knowledge of GST, direct taxation, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems such as Tally.
