Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dehradun, with the flexibility to work from home on agreed-upon days. The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization Specialist will plan, execute, and optimize strategies to improve organic visibility across both traditional search engines and generative AI platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting keyword research, performing SEO audits, optimizing on-page elements, and managing link-building initiatives to strengthen domain authority. The specialist will monitor performance using web analytics tools, interpret data, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. The role also involves collaborating with content, product, and development teams to ensure technical SEO best practices, structured data, and content formats are aligned with emerging generative search experiences.
Qualifications

• Strong keyword research skills, including search intent analysis and prioritization of keyword opportunities.
• Hands-on experience conducting comprehensive SEO audits and implementing technical and on-site recommendations.
• Proven ability to plan and execute ethical link-building campaigns and off-page SEO initiatives.
• Proficiency with web analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO suites) to measure and report performance.
• Solid understanding of on-page SEO, including metadata optimization, internal linking, content structure, and schema markup.
• Awareness of generative AI and large language model (LLM) behavior, with interest in optimizing content for AI-driven search and answer engines.
• Comfort collaborating with content creators and developers to align SEO requirements with UX, design, and technical constraints.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain SEO concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
• Experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, or CRO is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
