Auxo AI – Senior Data Governance Specialist Full Time NEW

Auxo is looking for a Senior Data Governance Specialist with a strong data engineering foundation to lead and operationalize enterprise-scale data governance programs for our clients.

This role is not advisory-only. You will design, implement, and embed governance frameworks directly into modern data platformscovering data quality, cataloging, lineage, and stewardshipworking closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and operationalize data governance policies, standards, and operating models
• Lead data stewardship programs, partnering with business and data owners to drive adoption
• Configure and manage governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, and Monte Carlo
• Build and maintain enterprise data catalogs with metadata, lineage, and discoverability
• Design and enforce data quality rules, monitoring frameworks, and remediation workflows
• Embed governance controls directly into data pipelines and platforms in collaboration with data engineering teams
• Support impact analysis, compliance, and decision-making through strong lineage and metadata practices

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience :

• Data Governance (Strong Hands-on Experience)
• Data stewardship and ownership frameworks
• Data lineage and impact analysis
• Metadata management and catalog design
• Data quality dimensions, rules, and monitoring frameworks
• Data classification, access controls, and policy enforcement
• Governance Platforms
• Hands-on experience with Atlan, Collibra, or Monte Carlo (at least one mandatory)

Technical Foundation

• Advanced SQL (complex querying, analysis, troubleshooting)
• Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data modeling)
• Experience with modern data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data Qualifications :
• Experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataplex) or other major cloud platforms
• DAMA CDMP or equivalent data governance certifications
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., Finance, Healthcare)
• Familiarity with dbt, Great Expectations, Soda, or similar data quality frameworks
