Robot Maintenance & Operation Engineer Full Time

Job Location

Bangalore, Karnataka, India (On-site position, no remote work)

Key Responsibilities

1. Efficiently operate and maintain 6-axis ABB robots to ensure their stable and safe operation in Tata Electronics’ production scenarios.
2. Responsible for the connection and coordination between ABB robots and grinding machines, troubleshooting related technical issues in a timely manner.
3. Set and adjust grinding parameters accurately, including speed, pressure, and selection of appropriate Velcro discs, to meet production quality requirements.
4. Monitor and maintain MODBUS communication between ABB robots and grinding machines, ensuring smooth data transmission and communication stability.
5. Perform basic maintenance on grinding machines, including replacement of wearing parts (such as bearings) and routine inspection to extend equipment service life.
6. Coordinate with our internal team and Tata Electronics’ on-site personnel to complete daily O&M tasks and submit maintenance reports regularly.

Technical Requirements

1. Proficient in operating 6-axis ABB robots, with hands-on experience in robot operation and daily maintenance.
2. Possess solid knowledge in electrical control, hold a valid electrical control certificate, and have practical experience in connecting grinding machines with ABB robots.
3. Capable of setting and adjusting grinding parameters independently, including speed, pressure, selection of appropriate Velcro discs, etc., to ensure grinding quality.
4. Familiar with MODBUS communication principles and practical operation between ABB robots and grinding machines, able to troubleshoot communication failures.
5. Have basic maintenance skills for grinding machines, including replacement of wearing parts (bearings, etc.) and routine maintenance work.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related majors (fresh graduates with relevant intern experience are also considered).
7. 1-3 years of relevant work experience in robot O&M, especially experience in serving large enterprises is preferred.
8. Strong problem-solving ability, able to respond quickly to equipment failures and provide effective solutions.
9. Good communication skills to cooperate smoothly with cross-functional teams and Tata Electronics’ on-site personnel.
10. Willing to work on-site in Bangalore, able to adapt to shift work (day shifts, night shifts) as needed.
11. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must; proficiency in Hindi is an advantage.
