To meet our challenges we are looking for a Raw Material Purchasing Specialist within the Procurement team to be based at our Gokak unit.

Purpose

The purpose of Raw Material Purchasing Specialist is to ensure uniterrupted procurement of raw materials as per the production plan

Their mission?

Accountable for leading Maize Procurement and related operations for the company at Plant locations include manufacturing site and warehousing locations.

Your experience and talent will make the difference to:

• Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms Finalize details of orders and deliveries Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs Understanding of Supply and Demand scenario and identify potential Procurement locations.
• To travel extensively across major producing tracts of Maize for crop Survey, Procurement and Warehouse management.
• Constantly monitoring the market trend by Interactions and accessing information from relevant sources for facilitating right quantum of desired quality at the right time.
• Procure as per set targets by negotiating prices in line with the Targeted price.
• The purchase term shall be agreed with the supplier to the standard term with respect to price, quality, payment and delivery shall be documented.
• Ability to co-ordinate between cross functions for effective procurement and execution.
• Demonstrates learning agility.
• Ability to get up to speed with new processes/procedures and able to adapt readily to change.
• All other allied work which is not listed above, as and when required.

What we love about you

• Proven work experience as a procurement manager and good knowledge of Agriculture Market in India with Particular emphasis on Maize.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market Talent in negotiations and networking
• Good knowledge of supplier base.
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
• Experience in collecting and analysing data
• Strong leadership capabilities Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategy And also
• Graduate preferably in Agri / Food background with exposure of bulk procurement of grains with 8 to 12+ years of experience.
