Executive – Legal and Compliance Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Create templates for DC BU contracts, including MSAs, NDAs and other relevant legal documents
• Define and update regulatory and compliance requirements for the business both in India and other applicable geographies, including compliance with all applicable labour laws.
• Participate in contract review and negotiation for contracts and SLAs, for customers, vendors and partners
• Track SLAs breaches and assist with response to and negotiations with customer
• Litigation support and management
• Data security and compliance
• Support with documentation for certifications like MeiTY empanelment, ISO, SOC 2, and other key DC certifications.
• Conduct regular audits on compliance with such certification standards and requirements.
• Should have experience connecting with regulators and government authorities such as MeiTY, DOT, TRAI, etc.
• Liaise with external legal consultants as required.

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required)

Bachelors or master’s in law with specialization in Cyber Law or IT Law, Business Law, Coporate Law, or relevant certifications to work as part an IT and ITES organization.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)

• About 3-5 Years of relevant DC and Cloud Managed Services Legal and Compliance experience, especially in Colocation, Managed Cloud Services, IT Services.
• Experience working in a leadership position and interacting with senior level executives.
• Should have expertise in IT, DC and ITES related legal and compliance requirements including company law, labour law, contract drafting, review and negotiation.
• Should be well versed with local regulations especially in India. Additional experience with US/Europe laws and data security and compliance requirements would be given preference.
• Should have experience drafting and reviewing SLAs in IT contracts, managing SLA conflicts or negotiations with customers on SLA breaches.
• Should have experience working on IT labour law related requirements for 24×7 operations especially at Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
• Experience working with DOT and TRAI for communications related requirements like OSP licenses, etc. as required.
• Should have experience leading successful closure of multimillion dollar contracts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Worked with similar industry of Data Centre
