Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP PPDS Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP APO PPDS or SAP S/4HANA PPDS, with a good understanding of supply chain planning, production scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting PPDS solutions while working closely with business stakeholders to optimize planning and scheduling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP PPDS functional solutions
- Configure and support SAP PPDS processes including:
- Production Planning
- Detailed Scheduling
- Capacity Planning
- Heuristics
- Product View
- Planning Board
- DS Optimizer
- Alert Monitor
- Work on CIF integration between SAP ECC/S4 and APO
- Handle master data related to PPDS including PDS, PPM, work centers, resources, and production versions
- Support integration with SAP modules such as PP, MM, SD, QM, and EWM
- Perform testing, defect resolution, and end-user support
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements
- Participate in cutover activities, go-live, and hypercare support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business users for continuous process improvements
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP APO PPDS or SAP S/4HANA PPDS
- Good understanding of manufacturing and supply chain planning processes
- Experience in CIF master data integration
- Knowledge of integration with SAP PP, MM, SD, and EWM modules
- Experience in configuration, support, and implementation projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in at least 1–2 end-to-end SAP implementation projects
- Exposure to SAP IBP integration is an added advantage
- SAP certification in PP/PPDS is preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field
