Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Shopify & E-Commerce Web Development Manager to lead the development, optimization, and scaling of high-performance Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) digital commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Shopify ecosystem development, e-commerce architecture, conversion optimization, SEO implementation, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing and growth teams.
This role requires a technically strong operator who can independently manage end-to-end website execution while contributing directly to revenue growth, customer experience, and international e-commerce expansion initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Development & E-Commerce Management
• Lead end-to-end development and maintenance of Shopify-based D2C websites.
• Architect scalable e-commerce experiences optimized for performance, conversion, and retention.
• Execute platform migrations from WooCommerce, Medusa, or other commerce stacks into Shopify.
• Develop and manage international Shopify storefronts, including localization, payments, shipping, and third-party integrations.
• Implement advanced Shopify customizations using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JSON.
Website Optimization & Conversion Growth
• Collaborate with performance marketing and D2C growth teams to improve website conversion rates and customer journeys.
• Optimize page speed, mobile responsiveness, and checkout experiences.
• Support prepaid order growth, funnel optimization, and customer retention initiatives.
Technical Leadership
• Act as the primary technical stakeholder for website and e-commerce operations.
• Drive best practices in front-end architecture, code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, plugin, and integration issues across departments
SEO & Digital Performance
• Implement technical SEO strategies to improve discoverability and search rankings.
• Support Google Ads and digital campaign landing page development.
• Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements based on user behavior and conversion metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Strong expertise in Shopify ecosystem and custom theme development
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, and Shopify Liquid
• Experience with WooCommerce and headless commerce platforms
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization
• Experience integrating third-party tools, APIs, and payment systems
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Preferred Experience
• 4+ years in web development with strong D2C/e-commerce exposure
• Experience handling high-growth consumer brands
• Proven track record of managing Shopify migrations and international store launches
• Experience collaborating with growth marketing and paid media teams
• Familiarity with CRO principles
