Company Description RMX Industries Pvt. Ltd. (formerly RM Exports) is a 34-year-old, family-owned manufacturer specializing in rubber hoses and metal auto-retractable hose reels. The company is the largest manufacturing exporter of general-purpose hoses and reels from India, supplying products to over 20 countries including the US, India, and multiple European markets. RMX is uniquely positioned as the only company worldwide that manufactures both hoses and auto-retractable metal hose reels. Its BluBird® and BluShield® product lines are known for being lightweight, strong, flexible, and high-performance solutions for air, water, and pressure washing applications. RMX also markets BluBird technology products under the Zephyr® brand in India, serving major retailers and distributors internationally.
ROLE OVERVIEW
RMX Industries and BluBird Industries are looking for a strategic and creative Brand Manager / Brand Strategist to own and elevate the BluBird® brand identity, positioning, and architecture across all consumer and trade touchpoints in the US market.
This role operates at the intersection of brand strategy, consumer insight, and creative execution — defining how BluBird® and sister brands are perceived, differentiated, and loved by end users, retailers, and distributors across the US. You will shape the brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling frameworks that power every campaign, channel, and product launch.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic rigor and creative conviction — someone who can craft a compelling brand narrative and then operationalize it across digital, trade, and retail ecosystems. This is a high-impact, highly visible role with direct access to leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
• Own and evolve the brand strategy for BluBird® and other RMX brands (BluShield®, Zephyr®, Oil Shield, Avagard) across the US market.
• Define and maintain brand positioning, architecture, and messaging frameworks for each product category and end-user segment.
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and consumer research to identify whitespace, refine positioning, and stay ahead of market trends.
• Translate business objectives into clear, differentiated brand narratives that resonate with both B2B buyers and end consumers.
2. Brand Identity & Creative Direction
• Steward brand identity guidelines — visual language, tone of voice, typography, photography, and design standards — ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
• Partner with design, content, and agency teams to develop brand-compliant creative assets for digital, social, retail, packaging, and trade marketing.
• Lead brand audits and refresh initiatives to ensure BluBird® maintains a premium, contemporary presence in the US market.
• Develop compelling product storytelling and launch narratives that drive awareness and purchase intent across consumer and trade audiences.
3. Integrated Brand Campaigns
• Develop and execute brand-led integrated campaigns spanning digital, social, PR, influencer, content, and trade channels.
• Build thought leadership and brand authority programs including executive visibility, media outreach, category storytelling, and industry content.
• Lead video marketing, case study development, and user-generated content strategies to humanize the brand and drive community engagement.
• Support D2C and marketplace (Amazon, Walmart.com) brand presence — storefront content, A+ pages, brand stories, and editorial assets.
4. Trade & Channel Brand Execution
• Build brand programs for key US retail and trade channels including Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, and distributor networks.
• Develop co-branding, partner marketing, and POS/merchandising assets in collaboration with channel and sales teams.
• Lead trade show and event brand presence (e.g., National Hardware Show, GIE+EXPO) — booth concepts, collateral, activations, and follow-through.
• Represent the brand at strategic industry forums and customer engagement events.
5. Consumer & Market Insights
• Champion the voice of the US consumer within the organization — translating insights into brand, product, and communication strategy.
• Monitor brand health metrics including awareness, perception, preference, and purchase intent through surveys, social listening, and research.
• Analyze competitive brand activity and cultural trends to continuously sharpen positioning and identify growth opportunities.
6. Analytics & Brand Performance
• Define and track brand KPIs: brand awareness, share of voice, brand equity scores, campaign reach and engagement, and revenue attribution.
• Use analytics tools, CRM data, and digital dashboards to evaluate brand campaign effectiveness and optimize investments.
• Manage agency performance, budgets, and campaign analytics to ensure ROI-positive brand programs.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, product, eCommerce, design, and operations teams to ensure brand alignment at every touchpoint.
• Lead and inspire internal teams, external creative agencies, freelancers, and PR partners.
• Participate actively in leadership reviews, brand planning cycles, and strategic growth discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must-Have
• 3–6 years of experience in brand management, brand strategy, or integrated marketing — ideally with exposure to US or international consumer markets.
• Proven track record of building or repositioning a brand: from strategy and identity through to campaign execution.
• Strong portfolio of brand storytelling, creative direction, or campaign work across digital and physical channels.
• Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, brand architecture, and positioning methodologies.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority across sales, product, and creative teams.
Preferred
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or Business.
• Experience managing B2C or B2B brands in the US market — industrial, home improvement, hardware, outdoor living, or lifestyle categories preferred.
• Familiarity with the US retail landscape: Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, and key trade distribution channels.
• Knowledge of US trade show marketing (National Hardware Show, GIE+EXPO) and channel activation strategies.
• Experience briefing and managing creative agencies, PR firms, and content production partners.
