• Deliver AI-powered product features by collaborating with product domain and foundational AI teams, focusing on intelligent automation like claims extraction.
• Design and develop APIs and integration layers that connect AI capabilities with real-world healthcare product workflows.
• Leverage reusable AI services such as OpenAI-based extractors and chat tools to accelerate feature development.
• Write production-quality software using C#.NET, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP APIs, following best practices in code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Architects, and Data Scientists to align on goals and deliverables.
• Embrace agile practices by actively participating in sprints, planning sessions, retrospectives, and demos.

Essential Skills For Creating a Lasting Impact

Alegeus colleagues are known as problem-solvers, risk-takers, and innovative thinkers. As a Data Scientist I, these skills are essential for success:

• Abilities: Strong programming skills in C#.NET and JavaScript (React or Angular preferred), with proficiency in building and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs. Familiarity with AI/ML technologies such as large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and service orchestration.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise or SaaS environments. Hands-on experience integrating or building backend services, working with data APIs or pipelines, and deploying to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) using CI/CD practices. Preferred: Experience integrating AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face) and working with document extraction, chatbots, or NLP workflows.

Background in healthcare IT, including claims processing or standards like HL7 or FHIR a plus.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
