WE NEED AN OPERATOR WHO THINKS LIKE A FOUNDER.

Most agencies hire ops people to manage processes. We don’t have processes yet. That’s the point.

Vertexcover is a 6-person AI engineering studio. We build multi-agent systems, AI video pipelines, and RAG implementations for companies like Dunzo, Arintra, usemadmen.ai, Springworks, invideo.ai and rephrase.ai (acquired by Adobe). Our engineers ship production AI — not demos, not POCs.

This is NOT an engineering role. You won’t write production code or build AI models. You’ll build the business machine that keeps our engineering team full and our client pipeline growing — using AI tools as your leverage. This role doesn’t exist yet. You’ll define it.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD

You’re building three engines from zero:

• Talent engine — AI-assisted sourcing workflows that find exceptional engineers before the market knows about them. A structured CRM. Automated outreach that converts. You fill our engineering bench.
• Sales engine — AI workflows that discover, research, and qualify companies hitting technical walls. Deep research briefs before every outreach. Pipeline discipline. Conversion tracking. You keep our project pipeline healthy.
• Content engine — Turn what we build internally into public-facing content that drives inbound. Document our pipelines as reusable frameworks. Write about our AI tooling and operational playbooks. The content isn’t separate from the work — it IS the work, made visible.

You’ll use Claude, GPT agents, n8n, custom scripts — whatever gets the job done. You’re not building the AI product; you’re using AI tools to build operational infrastructure.

WHO YOU ARE

• 1–3 years in a high-ownership role — ops, growth, sourcing, business development, or founder’s office — and you already use AI tools daily.
• You think in systems, not tasks. You’ve set up automations, outreach sequences, or pipelines that run without you.
• You write clearly enough to be trusted with candidate and client communication from day one.
• You get restless when things aren’t built yet — and excited by the blank canvas.
• You have a bias toward action over analysis.

Bonus: You’ve sourced technical talent, run outbound campaigns, managed a CRM, or built workflows others actually use.

This role is NOT for you if you want to write code all day, build ML models, or work purely on technical problems. We have engineers for that.

WHAT “GREAT” LOOKS LIKE

• 30 days: First version of the talent and sales pipelines built. Tools wired up. CRM live.
• 90 days: Repeatable systems producing 5+ engineering candidates and 10+ qualified sales prospects monthly. First content published.
• 6 months: You’ve contributed to 2+ hires and 3+ new client conversations. Our internal tools generate inbound interest. You’re running the growth function.

WHY THIS ROLE

You’ll work directly with the founder. No layers. Full ownership of hiring and revenue pipelines, and a front-row view of how a top AI studio operates. This evolves into Head of Ops / Growth as we scale. Compensation: Up to ₹75K/month, based on experience. Open to negotiations for senior candidates.
