Role Description

We are seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist for a full-time, on-site role based in Ballari. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, conducting workplace safety assessments, and implementing safety programs to mitigate risks. This includes facilitating safety training sessions, developing occupational health programs, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The role also involves coordinating audits and reporting issues to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health principles
• Strong understanding of Workplace Safety and Health & Safety regulations
• Experience in conducting Safety Training and implementing safety initiatives
• Knowledge of compliance with environmental and occupational safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead safety audits and investigations proactively
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
• Relevant industry certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, are an advantage
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
