Role Purpose:

As a Project Associate – Energy Projects at NewCold, you will support the Energy & Sustainability team in advancing global energy initiatives. Your role will involve assisting in the development and implementation of clean energy projects, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and contributing to the preparation of business cases and capital expenditure requests. You will work closely with the Global Project Manager -Sustainability and other team members to ensure projects align with strategic objectives and are executed efficiently

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and conceptualizing designs for integrating renewable energy technologies into existing and new infrastructures
• Support the selection and negotiation processes with contractors and vendors for renewable energy projects
• Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive business cases and capital expenditure requests to support project funding and resource allocation.
• Help oversee the implementation of renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrate strong allegiance to project governance and ethical practices by supporting budget tracking, financial compliance, documentation, and adherence to defined project controls and ESG guidelines across energy transition initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and contribute insights to company strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and alignment with sustainability goals.

Job Requirements

Education Requirement

• A bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of principles, practices, and theories within the field of Electrical Engineering.
• Highly developed computer literacy skills including knowledge of software like PVsyst, Helioscope etc.

Skills & Competencies

• Up to 2 years of experience in project management or renewable energy projects.
• Experience in coordinating with contractors, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Project Management software like MS Project, Jira etc. is preferred.
• Familiarity with current market trends, technological advancements, and innovations in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
• Exposure to concepts of business sustainability and knowledge of energy systems, carbon accounting etc will be preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of summarizing project complexity to senior management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions & cultures as well as openness for learning and continuous improvement
